Saint-Etienne have revealed that they rejected an offer from Newcastle United for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang earlier this month.
The 23-year-old Gabon international recently announced his intention to leave Stade Geoffroy-Guichard at the end of the season, but it would appear that he will be staying put during the winter window.
A club statement read: "Following the rumours that have appeared in the media linking Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with a move to Newcastle, AS Saint-Etienne wish to make clear that the player, his agent and the club have collectively agreed to refuse all offers made thus far."
Aubameyang has scored eight goals in Ligue 1 this season.
