Newcastle United defender Florian Lejeune has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Sevilla.
Lejeune only moved to St James' Park last summer but the Frenchman's opening campaign in the Premier League was hindered due to injury.
The 27-year-old was still able to make 24 outings in the top flight but it appears that the centre-back's form has resulted in interest from La Liga.
According to the Newcastle Chronicle, Sevilla have made Lejeune one of their top targets for the summer window and are prepared to pay a fee in the region of £13m.
That represents an increase of over £4m from what Newcastle paid in July, but the report suggests that an offer of that size would be rejected.
Lejeune - who still has four years left on his contract - has previously represented Villarreal, Girona and Eibar in Spanish football.
