Neymar receives a red card for Santos for appearing to stamp on a Gremio player during a fractious 1-1 draw in the Brazilian championship.

Santos star striker Neymar has been sent off in a bizarre incident during a volatile 1-1 draw against Gremio.

Neymar was already on a yellow card when he was dismissed on after 53 minutes after appearing to stamp on Gremio defender Para.

The Brazilian forward has endured a difficult week, after receiving criticism in his home nation for posing for a magazine being crucified on a cross.

Santos battled back to earn a 1-1 draw in the Brazilian championship thanks to an equaliser from Bruno Rodrigo.
