Northern Ireland are reportedly keen to persuade Connor Wickham to play for them at Euro 2016.
The Green and Whites are closing in on a place at next summer's finals and need two points from their final two qualifiers to progress.
Crystal Palace striker Wickham has played 17 times for the England Under-21s but could represent another nation unless he is capped by the Three Lions at senior level.
In a bid to bolster their attacking options should they make it to the tournament, Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill has written to the 22-year-old to persuade him to play for them, according to the Daily Mail.
Wickham, who has scored six times for England's Under-21s, is eligible to represent Norn Iron through his father.
