Norwich City manager Paul Lambert has claimed that goalkeeper John Ruddy is good enough to play for England.
Ruddy, 25, was named man of the match in Norwich's 0-0 draw with Chelsea on Saturday, prompting a flurry of plaudits for the ex-Everton shot-stopper.
The draw was Norwich's first clean sheet of the season, but Lambert believes that Ruddy could do a job for the national team.
"He has been talked about for England and I think rightly so. I thought he was outstanding," he told Sky Sports News.
The draw ensured the Canaries retained their position in the top half of the Premier League table, while Chelsea could fall further behind the leading pack depending on results tomorrow.
