The Championship match between Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace is due for a pitch inspection at 9.30am on Saturday, with wet conditions at the City Ground putting the fixture in doubt.

Alex McLeish's first scheduled game as Nottingham Forest manager may not go ahead due to wet conditions at the City Ground.

The Scot was appointed as Reds boss on Thursday following the sacking of Sean O'Driscoll and prepared for tomorrow's visit of Crystal Palace by taking training this morning.

However, heavy rain in the Midlands has put the fixture under threat, with a pitch inspection set for 9.30am on Saturday morning.

League Two games at Gillingham and Aldershot Town have already fallen to the weather, the two clubs confirmed on Friday lunchtime.
