Sports Mole previews Saturday's League One clash between Peterborough United and Cheltenham Town, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Peterborough United will attempt to claim a second straight victory when they face Cheltenham Town at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday.

After picking up four points from their last two matches, Cheltenham will be looking to avoid defeat for a third consecutive game.

After losing 1-0 to league leaders Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday, Peterborough returned to winning ways when they played host to Shrewsbury Town in midweek.

Tuesday's contest appeared to be heading towards a draw after Jonson Clarke-Harris saw his opening goal cancelled out by Tom Flanagan.

However, Frankie Kent proved to be Peterborough's hero, snatching all three points with an 87th-minute winner to seal a narrow 2-1 victory.

The midweek result leaves Posh in eighth position with seven points separating them from sixth-placed Derby County, who have played a game more.

Peterborough, who are unbeaten in three home games, will be determined to score the opening goal on Saturday, as they have gone on to win 10 of the 11 home league matches where they have opened the scoring.

Cheltenham, meanwhile, lost their final three matches in February by a combined 10-0 scoreline, but they have shown signs of improvement in their last two outings.

After claiming a narrow 1-0 victory over Fleetwood Town last weekend, the Robins played out a goalless draw with Lincoln City in midweek to record a second straight clean sheet.

Wade Elliott's side enters the weekend in 17th position, and they will be aiming to extend their four-point gap to the relegation zone.

With Cheltenham's last two matches taking place at home, they will now head on their travels where they have work to do after losing six of their last seven away league games.

Having scored just one goal in the opening 30 minutes of their 18 away matches in League One this season, the visitors will be looking to make a quick start on Saturday.

Team News

Peterborough are still unable to call upon Josh Knight, who will serve the final game of a three-match suspension.

Ollie Norburn dropped down to the bench in midweek as Posh continue to manage his comeback from a long-term injury, but he could return to the Peterborough midfield on Saturday.

Clarke-Harris is currently the division's top scorer, and the forward will be looking to add to the 19 league goals that he has scored this season when he leads the line against Cheltenham.

As for the visitors, they are still expected to be without the services of Elkan Baggott and Will Goodwin, although the pair are closing in on a return to action.

Charlie Raglan missed the midweek draw with Lincoln with a broken toe, and he will remain unavailable for Saturday's contest.

After replacing Raglan in the starting lineup, Tom Bradbury will retain his place in the back three alongside Caleb Taylor and Sean Long.

Peterborough United possible starting lineup:
Norris; N. Thompson, Kent, Edwards, Ogbeta; Norburn, Taylor; Ward, Burrows, Mason-Clark; Clarke-Harris

Cheltenham Town possible starting lineup:
Southwood; Long, Taylor, Bradbury; Jackson, Sercombe, Bonds, Ferry; Broom; Keena, May

We say: Peterborough United 2-1 Cheltenham Town

Cheltenham have shown signs of promise in their last two home games, but their form on the road has proven to be a different story.

Having lost six of their last seven away league matches, we think that the Robins will be edged out by a Peterborough side who have won three of their previous five home games.
