Queens Park Rangers defender Danny Simpson has insisted that Sheffield Wednesday will provide a "tricky" test for his side in this weekend's Championship opener.
The R's get their bid for promotion underway on Saturday in front of their home fans at Loftus Road.
"It'll be tricky," Simpson told the club's official website. "The first few games of the season are always difficult because, although you've put a lot of work in during pre-season, you are still trying to get full match sharpness.
"But it's a fresh start for everyone and from our point of view, we're all looking forward to it."
Simpson recently signed a three-year deal with QPR following four seasons at Newcastle United.
