Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti branded Kylian Mbappe "the best player in European football" after the Paris Saint-Germain attacker scored the winner in Tuesday's Champions League clash.
Mbappe netted in the final exchanges of the last-16 first leg to hand PSG an advantage ahead of the return match at Bernabeu next month.
The France international is out of contract at the end of June, and Real Madrid are believed to be the favourites to secure his signature on a free transfer.
Mbappe has insisted that he has not made a decision on his future, but Ancelotti was keen to talk up the 23-year-old's quality when questioned after the European contest.
"Mbappe is the best player in European football," Ancelotti told reporters.
The Frenchman has scored 22 goals and registered 16 assists in 32 appearances for PSG this season, including five goals and six assists in seven Champions League outings.
Real Madrid attempted to sign the attacker in a big-money deal last summer but were informed that he was not for sale at the start of the 2021-22 campaign.
