David Beckham has claimed that former Real Madrid teammate Zinedine Zidane was "possibly the best player" that he ever played alongside.
The former England captain will come up against Zidane next month when a Great Britain and Ireland XI take on a World XI in a charity match at Old Trafford for UNICEF.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Beckham revealed that he was "involved in picking the teams" and selected Zidane as a special participant.
"I was involved in picking the teams. Lot of interest and support," Beckham told reporters. "Zidane is a friend and possibly the best player I ever played with.
"I'm excited to be back. This game is something I'm very proud of. After retiring I didn't think I'd be putting my boots on again."
Beckham played with Zidane at Real Madrid from 2003 until 2006.
