Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is reportedly willing to take a pay cut in order to extend his stay at the club.
The 35-year-old has now entered the final year of his contract at the Bernabeu and will be able to talk to clubs regarding a free transfer from January.
However, Marca reports that Modric wants to end his career with the Spanish champions and is keen to enter fresh contract negotiations.
The report claims that the Croatian midfielder would be willing to accept a reduced salary in order to remain at the club, with Madrid expected to undergo a significant squad overhaul next summer.
Sergio Ramos and Lucas Vazquez are also out of contract next summer and Madrid are yet to open talks over extensions.
Los Blancos are reportedly hoping to bring in the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Eduardo Camavinga in 2021, having failed to sign a single player this summer.
