Real Madrid have reportedly increased their interest in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
Rumours surfaced two weeks ago regarding Real's interest in the player, and Marca has now claimed that the Spanish giants have stepped up their pursuit.
The Madrid-based Spanish sports daily reports that with striker Robert Lewandowski becoming increasingly likely to stay at Dortmund, the club could be more willing to strike a deal with Real for Gundogan.
Initial reports suggest that Real would be willing to pay £22m for the German international.
