Former Everton and Manchester United defender Phil Neville has backed David Moyes to succeed as manager of Real Sociedad.
Neville, who worked under Moyes at both Premier League clubs in player and coach capacities, described the La Liga outfit as a "fantastic move" for the Scot.
"I think it will be a fantastic move for him," he told BBC Sport. "He'll be able to concentrate on getting back to doing what he does best, and that's management.
"He's joined a club that have similar ambitions probably to Everton, I think that is why they employed him.
"I think they want David Moyes to take them down the same route he took Everton, to compete for a Champions League place."
Neville was tipped to join Moyes in Spain as his deputy, but the ex-England international is adamant that he is staying put as his family is settled in England.
