Unai Emery pleased with away win

Sevilla boss Unai Emery praises his side following their 3-1 win over Espanyol on Sunday.

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has praised his side following their 3-1 win at Espanyol on Sunday.

The victory at the El Prat was the first time that Sevilla had won on the road in La Liga since September 2012.

"We wanted to play a confident game from back to front. Our priority today was to win, leaving behind the background stuff," Emery told reporters at a press conference.

"We did well. We wanted a clean sheet, but we're satisfied with the victory. This can give us confidence to grow as a team and hopefully go and get more good results away from home. I thought the whole team did a great job."

Sevilla currently sit 11th in the league table.
