Rickie Lambert has insisted that his goals for Southampton this season are unimportant.
The striker scored 27 league goals this season to help the Saints achieve promotion to the Premier League following a seven-year absence.
However, the 30-year-old feels that his record in front of goal should not overshadow the club's achievements this season.
"All the goals I scored this season didn't matter, we had one objective this season to get up and we have done it," he told BBC Sport.
Lambert joined Southampton in 2009 from Bristol Rovers.
