Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino has hailed the qualities of striker Rickie Lambert.
The 30-year-old starred in the Saints' 3-1 win over Manchester City yesterday, and is the Premier League's top-scoring Englishman.
"For me, he is an extraordinary player," said Pochettino. "When I see his career, I am surprised he hasn't played longer in the Premier League.
"He has many qualities, and none are outstanding over the others. It's well known he's a good player, he can shoot well and he's skilful, what surprised me is his mentality."
The win yesterday has moved Southampton up to 15th in the Premier League.
