David Silva has claimed that it is "win or bust" on Sunday as Spain take on Italy in the Euro 2012 final.

The two teams met earlier in the tournament as they played out a 1-1 draw in their Group C encounter in Gdansk.

Despite that result, Spanish midfielder Silva insists that it will be a very different game this time around as the trophy is at stake.

"The first match with Italy here was tricky, but this one is not quite the same, mainly because it's a case of win or bust," he told FIFA.com.

"Ahead of the group-phase match, both teams knew that a defeat wouldn't eliminate us. Of course, now the situation is very different, just as the game will be."

Holders Spain are looking to become the first team in international history to win three consecutive major finals.
