Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has admitted that he is still unsure whether Gareth Bale will be fit enough to play a part against former club Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League.
The reigning European and Spanish champions head to Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night for a big Group H clash, aiming to get back to winning ways following a shock league defeat to Girona this weekend.
Bale has missed Madrid's last six games in all competitions since pulling up with a calf injury against Borussia Dortmund on September 26, including the reverse meeting with Spurs earlier this month.
With less than 72 hours to go before the match, Zidane revealed that a late decision will likely be made on the Welshman's inclusion.
"Bale is still in the process of recuperation," he told reporters. "We will need to assess him and then make a decision."
Bale, still rumoured to be on Manchester United's transfer wishlist, has three goals and three assists in seven outings for Madrid this term.
