The Football Association will sanction an FA Cup semi-final involving Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium should they make it that far, according to a report.

The Football Association will reportedly allow Tottenham Hotspur to play at their temporary Wembley home should they make it through to the semi-final stage of the FA Cup.

Spurs host Rochdale in a fifth-round replay at the national stadium next week after being held to a 2-2 draw by the League One strugglers on Sunday.

There have been calls for Tottenham to play any potential final-four match away from Wembley due to an unfair advantage, having made it their home this season while their new ground is built.

According to The Times, however, the FA will resist pressure to switch the tie should the Lilywhites overcome Rochdale and possible quarter-final opponents Swansea City or Sheffield Wednesday.

Spurs will have no home privileges as such, though, with the FA to determine the choice of dressing rooms and the allocation of stadium ends for supporters.
