Five Tottenham Hotspur players return to training ahead of Premier League games against Manchester United and Liverpool.

Tottenham Hotspur have revealed that five first-team stars took part in training on Monday ahead of a run of tough fixtures.

Mauricio Pochettino's side will take on Manchester United in the Premier League on Wednesday followed by Liverpool at Anfield four days later.

Prior to the crucial matches, the club confirmed on Twitter that Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld, Christian Eriksen, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela were all involved in training.

Alderweireld has not been seen since November due to a hamstring injury, while Lloris and Eriksen have been absent from Tottenham's last two games.

Rose and Lamela were not included in the squad that drew 1-1 with Newport County in the FA Cup on Saturday, but both went through drills in training.

Spurs are currently fifth in the league table, two points adrift of the top four.
