Harry Kane: 'It has been a productive season'

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane reveals that he was delighted to end the season with a crucial goal to fire his side to a 1-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has revealed that he and his teammates are elated to have sealed their place in the Europa League courtesy of their 1-0 win over Everton on the final day.

Kane capped an excellent season, after becoming the first Spurs player to score 30 goals in a campaign since Gary Lineker in the 1991-92 season, when he fired Mauricio Pochettino's men to victory at Goodison Park.

The result, along with Liverpool's hammering at the hands of Stoke City, moved Spurs into fifth place, meaning they will not have to go through a qualifying game to enter the Europa League group stages.

Kane told BBC Sport: "The most important thing was the win. We knew Stoke away at Liverpool would be tough for them, we wanted fifth and we got it. I'm delighted to get on scoresheet.

"There's no qualifying game for the Europa league and finishing fifth is not bad anyway. We got to the League Cup final too so it's been a productive season."

Kane scored 21 of his 31 goals in the Premier League.
