Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to offer manager Harry Redknapp a new contract.
The 64-year-old, who is the favourite to succeed Fabio Capello as England boss, has 12 months left on his current deal.
However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wants to make it as difficult as possible for Redknapp to leave White Hart Lane, according to The Mirror.
Levy is expected to make sizeable funds available to bring in new players over the summer.
