Dwight Tiendalli believes that Swansea City should have taken a point from their game against Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.

Dwight Tiendalli has said that Swansea City deserved a draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League yesterday.

The League Cup champions lost 2-1 to Andre Villas-Boas's side at the Liberty Stadium yesterday afternoon.

The defender told the club's official website: "We are a little bit disappointed. I thought we deserved at least a draw. We created a couple of good chances through crosses into the box, but it just didn't fall for us.

"I'm just doing my job. I know what I can do and I try to perform well for the team. There are still plenty of games left this season and I want to try and play as much as possible.

"We have a team that is mentally strong. We know we can win, especially at home, and we showed that fight in the second half against Spurs. We have been unlucky in the last three games and deserved more points. But that's football, and you don't always get what you deserve."

Swansea sit ninth in the Premier League table.
