Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho emerges as the new favourite to be the next Premier League boss sacked from his post after Sunday's loss to Manchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has emerged as the bookmakers' new favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked from his post.

The ex-Manchester United manager witnessed his former side produce a second-half flurry of goals to condemn Spurs to a 3-1 defeat on Sunday afternoon, as Fred, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood all netted for the Red Devils.

Tottenham still have an EFL Cup final against Manchester City to look forward to, but they suffered an embarrassing Europa League exit to Dinamo Zagreb and their top-four hopes suffered a major blow at the weekend.

Now, Sky Bet has Mourinho down as the new favourite to be the next English top-flight manager relieved of his duties, as the Portuguese sits at 3/1, with second-placed Steve Bruce close behind on 4/1.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp also features in the top 10 as he sits seventh with odds of 16/1, while RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann is the favourite to succeed Mourinho in North London at 5/2 and Rafael Benitez is 8/1 to take the job.

Spurs remain seventh in the Premier League table following their defeat to the Red Devils, with six points separating them from the Champions League places after 31 matches.
