Napoli have allegedly expressed an interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
The Argentina international begun the summer as a forgotten man in North London having spent the last 18 months away from the club.
A total of three goals and four assists came from 51 appearances on loan at Villarreal, with Lo Celso particularly impressing during the back end of that spell.
However, the 27-year-old is currently back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, waiting for his future to be resolve yet playing an active part in the club's pre-season.
On Tuesday, Lo Celso got on the scoresheet as Spurs went down to West Ham United by a 3-2 scoreline in Australia, the playmaker impressing during the second half.

With two years left on his contract, it remains plausible that he could stay in Ange Postecoglou's squad, but it appears that there is strong interest in his signature from elsewhere.
Speaking to Radio Punto Nuovo, an unnamed representative of Lo Celso indicated that Spurs and Napoli have held discussions regarding a potential transfer.
The representative in question said: "They are talking about it, but at the moment nothing is agreed."
Officials from the two clubs are no strangers to holding talks with Tanguy Ndombele having spent the season at the Serie A giants in 2022-23.

Napoli, who are now the top-flight champions in Serie A, are under new management with Rudi Garcia having been appointed as the replacement for Luciano Spalletti.
As it stands, he is yet to add to his senior ranks, with the only deals finalised being that of Giacomo Raspadori and Giovanni Simeone who spent the last campaign on loan at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Garcia is not short of creative players in his squad, yet the versatility of Lo Celso could potentially prove important during the course of 2023-24.
Lo Celso has never plied his trade in Italian football and has instead played in Ligue 1, La Liga and the Premier League since leaving his homeland in 2017, where he had represented Rosario Central.
