Roma boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur target Nicolo Zaniolo wants to leave the club.
The Italy international has made 128 appearances in his time with Roma, scoring 24 goals and providing 18 assists.
Zaniolo also played a pivotal role in Roma's successful Europa Conference League campaign last season, scoring five times across 10 appearances in the competition, including the only goal in the final against Feyenoord to seal the club's first trophy since 2008.
Although he has established himself as a key figure in Roma's side, his long-term future at the club appears to be uncertain.
Spurs are believed to be interested in the attacking midfielder, who has less than 18 months left to run on his current deal.

A recent report claimed that Tottenham are prepared to allow Roma to choose one of their three unwanted players to be included in a potential deal, with Bryan Gil believed to be one of the individuals that they are willing to offload.
Zaniolo was left out of Roma's squad for their 2-0 away victory over Spezia on Sunday, having reportedly asked not to be selected for the game.
Following the match, where Stephan El Shaarawy and Tammy Abraham both got on the scoresheet, Mourinho revealed that the 23-year-old wants to leave the Italian side.
The Roma boss said: "Nicolo Zaniolo has asked to leave the club - but I am not sure that it's gonna happen. Current proposals are not enough.
"We only need a good proposal to let Zaniolo leave, and we've not received it. My feeling is that at the end, he will stay."

Tottenham are believed to be keen to sign Zaniolo on a loan deal with an option to buy, while Roma are holding out for a permanent sale.
The playmaker has scored two goals and provided three assists in 17 appearances in all competitions this term.
Although Spurs have been heavily linked with Zaniolo, there is believed to be interest from fellow Premier League side Newcastle United.
While Tottenham are yet to make a signing in the January transfer window, Antonio Conte's future is in doubt according to a report, which states that he is set to leave Spurs at the end of the season.
Tottenham will look to bounce back from consecutive defeats when they face Fulham in the Premier League on Monday.
