Barcelona midfielder Arthur emerges as a summer transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly weighing up a summer move for Barcelona midfielder Arthur.

The Brazil international recently played down speculation that he could leave Camp Nou at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

However, there remain question marks surrounding the future of the 23-year-old, who has only made 16 La Liga appearances this season due to injury.

Inter Milan have been credited with an interest in the central midfielder, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham are also exploring the possibility of signing the South American this summer.

The report claims that Spurs would be prepared to offer Arthur an increase in wages if he joins the Premier League club ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

The midfielder's current deal at Camp Nou runs until the summer of 2024.
