The Football Association has handed a fine of £8,000 to Stoke City manager Mark Hughes after he accepted a charge for misconduct.
Hughes was sent to the stands by the referee during the Premier League fixture with Tottenham Hotspur, while the punishment he received from the FA also related to failing to leave the technical area in a timely manner.
Despite being disappointed with the charge handed to him, Hughes opted against appealing the decision to avoid a heftier punishment but he has still been handed a sizeable fine by the governing body.
Stoke went on to lose the game at the Britannia Stadium by a 4-0 scoreline, and the Potters' misery on the pitch continued on Sunday afternoon as they succumbed to a 4-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.
