Jack Colback has applauded new Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill for his immediate impact at the Stadium of Light.
O'Neill replaced Steve Bruce as Black Cats boss earlier this month and the Wearside outfit are unbeaten since the Ulsterman's appointment.
"We have showed good signs in the last three or four games that we can push on as a club. We have got the players and the manager here to do that," Colback told the Northern Echo.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who netted his first Premier League goal in the 1-1 draw with Everton on Boxing Day, has also backed O'Neill to help him develop as a player.
"The manager is known for getting the best out of players and I am sure he will bring my game on," he added.
Colback came through the academy at Sunderland before having two loan spells at Ipswich Town.
