Deadline day key events
Help for Hojlund: Rashford, Zirkzee exits 'could open door' for Man United to land striker
Manchester United could reportedly battle RB Leipzig for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, with the Frenchman expected to be on the move during the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old has only managed two goals and one assist in 14 appearances for PSG this season, and he was not in their squad for the Ligue 1 clash against Lyon at the weekend.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Kolo Muani will be allowed to leave PSG in the middle of the 2024-25 campaign, as he does not feature in the plans of the club's head coach Luis Enrique.
Man United have been linked with the France international, as the Red Devils look to boost their attacking options in January due to the struggles of Joshua Zirkzee and likely exit of Marcus Rashford.
January arrival? Man United 'on verge' of securing wonderkid deal
Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the signature of Sverre Nypan, with the attacker potentially making the move to Old Trafford during the January transfer window.
The 17-year-old scored eight goals and registered 10 assists in 33 appearances for Rosenborg during their recent season, while he has 13 goals and 11 assists in 60 games in total for the Norwegian giants.
Nypan has a contract with Rosenborg until December 2026, but it is widely expected that he will be on the move next year, with a number of major European clubs believed to be keen on his signature.
Man United have long been regarded as the favourites, though, and new Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim is said to be a huge admirer of the attacker, who is viewed as one of the best young talents in world football.
