Chris Coleman insists that there will be no backlash from the Welsh FA upon those players who have opted to accept Stuart Pearce's Olympic call-up.

Wales manager Chris Coleman has insisted that there will be no repercussions for those players selected for the Team GB Olympic squad.

Craig Bellamy, Joe Allen, Neil Taylor and captain Aaron Ramsey have all opted to accept Stuart Pearce's Olympic call-up despite the reluctance of the Welsh FA.

While he is against the selections, Coleman has acknowledged that he has been forced to accept them.

"There's no way I was going to say to the players 'if you go to play for Team GB, I'm not picking you'," he said.

"We don't have a big enough pool of players to be that feisty and it's not the right way to do things anyway.

"I respect all the guys that want to play. It doesn't mean I have to like it because I've got to do what's right for Wales."

Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale was also picked in Pearce's initial squad but has since been ruled out with injury.
