No Crystal Palace approach for Chris Coleman

The Welsh FA receives no formal approach from Crystal Palace for boss Chris Coleman.

The Welsh Football Association have confirmed that they have received no formal approach from Crystal Palace for manager Chris Coleman.

The 43-year-old has been tipped to take over at Selhurst Park following Ian Holloway's departure from the Premier League club last month.

However, the Welsh FA have revealed that they have not been contacted by Palace regarding Coleman's availability.

Coleman, who spent four years as a player with the Eagles, was appointed Wales boss in January 2012.

However, a disappointing World Cup qualification campaign in which Wales failed to reach the 2014 tournament has seen his future come under doubt.
