Slaven Bilic provides positive update on injured trio

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic reveals that Andy Carroll is now running in training, while both Diafra Sakho and Aaron Cresswell will also "be back soon".

Slaven Bilic has claimed that West Ham United will soon have close to a full squad to choose from as a key trio of injured players close in on a return to action.

Andy Carroll, Aaron Cresswell and Diafra Sako have all spent a spell on the sidelines this term, which has hampered the Hammers' start to life at the London Stadium.

United have lost three of their opening four Premier League games and also crashed out of the Europa League at the qualification playoff stage, but Bilic hopes to see his defensive and attacking options strengthened in the coming weeks.

"Andy is much better now and has started running," he told reporters. "Andy will not be available for West Brom but he is improving big time and very soon we will have a full squad. Sakho and Cresswell will be back soon. Aaron is sprinting already."

Bilic has revealed that summer signing Andre Ayew is also likely to return to action ahead of schedule, having picked up an injury on his debut that was initially expected to keep him out until the end of the year.
