West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has admitted that he is frustrated at not being able to keep Yossi Benayoun match-fit.
The Israel midfielder has made just six appearances for the Hammers this season after he joined on loan from Chelsea. After Benayoun suffered a further injury setback in training, Allardyce has revealed that he has returned to Stamford Bridge for treatment.
Allardyce told reporters: "Our big problem with Yossi at the moment is to try and get him fit.
"He broke down in training last week after we thought that he would be okay. At the moment he's back with Chelsea trying to recover from that injury."
West Ham must decide in January whether they wish to sign Benayoun on a permanent basis
