West Ham United chairman David Gold is confident that the club can keep hold of Hammers goalkeeper Robert Green.
The 32-year-old's contract expires in the summer, but Gold has insisted that talks over a new deal will soon start.
"One of the first negotiations that will take place will be with Robert Green. He is a world-class goalkeeper and his salary would be commensurate with that, but now that we are in the Premier League we can sit down with him. I am confident that we can keep Robert," he told the BBC.
West Ham secured promotion to the Premier League with victory over Blackpool on Saturday.
