Wigan Athletic have completed the loan signing of Cardiff City striker Alex Revell.
The 32-year-old has dropped down a division to join the Latics in League One and will remain a Wigan player until January 23, 2016.
Wigan boss Gary Caldwell told the club website: "He's somebody who I spoke to in the summer and we tried to get a deal done right up until the last few hours of the transfer window, but we couldn't get it over the line then.
"He became available again on Sunday evening and we've worked very hard to get a deal over the line. I've got to thank the chairman and the chief executive for getting this deal done for us, because Alex is a quality addition to our squad."
Revell joined Cardiff from Rotherham United in January, but has scored only two Championship goals in 25 appearances for the Bluebirds.
Wigan are fifth in League One, five points behind leaders Walsall and Burton Albion.
