Nuno Espirito Santo: 'Wolverhampton Wanderers will only get better'

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo says that his side will only get better after they recorded a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has backed his side to "progress" after they started their Championship campaign with a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.

A first-half goal from Leo Bonatini proved enough for Wolves to get their first victory on the board after a summer of change at Molineux.

Boro boss Garry Monk has claimed that the visitors deserved to take something from the game, but Nuno feels that Wolves were full value for the three points.

The 43-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "It was a tough game and in the first half we played very well. We controlled the game and this is the way we should work.

"I think that we deserved the three points and we are pleased with the boys. We are still not the final product and every game will be better. This is the line that we want from the boys, always progress, always get better."

Wolves are next in league action when they travel to Derby County on Saturday, August 12.
