Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced that Kenny Jackett will take the team forward in League One as the club's new head coach.
The former Millwall manager had been expected to take the reins at Molineux following reports that he had moved to the top of the pack during the interview process.
Jackett has been handed the task of guiding Wolves back into the Championship following their relegation a year after dropping out of the Premier League.
"I am both proud and delighted to have been appointed head coach at Wolves, and am really looking forward to the challenge ahead," Jackett told the club's official website.
Jackett, who left Millwall at the end of the season following a six-year term, has replaced Dean Saunders, making him the club's fifth boss in 19 months.
He will hold his first Wolves press conference on Monday.
