Hull FC kicked off their Super League campaign with a thumping 19-0 victory away at Huddersfield Giants this afternoon.
The Black & Whites were ahead inside 21 minutes courtesy of Fetuli Talanoa's try, which came about following some good work by Marc Sneyd to gain a yard of space and break away.
Sneyd could not quite add the extras from the follow up, although the former Salford Red Devils man did split the sticks on the brink of half time with a successful penalty.
A storming 12-minute spell in the second half saw Hull run away with the game as first Jamie Shaul found the whitewash on the back of Sneyd's grubber kick, before the heavily-involved Sneyd bent the ball over to add to the scoring.
That combination worked again moments later, with Shaul using his quick feet to make something out of nothing, crossing over and allowing his teammate to kick the extras.
Sneyd rounded off an impressive day for both him and his side by knocking over a drop kick with 15 minutes still to play, and that proved to be the end of the scoring as the Giants were shutout at the John Smith's Stadium.
