Hull KR winger David Hodgson sidelined for three months

Hull Kingston Rovers winger David Hodgson is sidelined for three months with a knee ligament injury.

Hull Kingston Rovers winger David Hodgson has been ruled out for three months with a serious knee injury.

The 32-year-old suffered ligament damage on Sunday during the team's 34-6 defeat to Leeds Rhinos in Super League.

Hodgson is expected to return to action at the end of May.

"We felt that Dave was really on his game and some of his reads in defence last weekend were outstanding," head coach Craig Sandercock told the club's official website.

"He's massively disappointed, as we all are, and he will be a big loss for us."

Hull KR continue their Super League campaign on Sunday when they make the trip to Huddersfield Giants.
