Matt Dawson: 'Argentina have real game-breakers'

Matt Dawson suggests that Argentina boasts "some real game-breakers" to be a success in the Rugby World Cup.

Matt Dawson has suggested that Argentina have shown the "consistency of performance" to be a success in international rugby over many years.

The Pumas reached the last four of the Rugby World Cup after beating Ireland 43-20 at the Millennium Stadium.

However, Dawson has suggested that the level of talent of in the Argentina ranks shows that they are becoming a force on the global stage.

He told BBC Sport: "The consistency of performance is always key to success, and I also believe Argentina have some real game-breakers - players such as (Joaquin) Tuculet, (Juan) Imhoff, (Santiago) Cordero.

"They have probably learned from playing in Europe and playing in the Rugby Championship.

"There's talk of them getting a Super 15 franchise too, so this is just the beginning for Argentina."

Argentina will meet Australia for a place in the final.
