England coach Stuart Lancaster believes that his side could have won their final Test against South Africa after a 14-14 draw in Port Elizabeth.

England coach Stuart Lancaster has admitted that he is "gutted" not to have won the final Test against South Africa following Saturday's 14-14 draw in Port Elizabeth.

An Owen Farrell penalty with eight minutes to play was enough to deny the Springboks a series whitewash after winning the two previous Tests.

However, Lancaster believes that his side could have taken the spoils against the former world champions.

"It could have been a win, even with the clock run down, but they are the small margins," he told Sky Sports News.

"We are gutted not to have won the game, we wanted to win it and the series, but there are plenty of positives we can take out of it."

England will now turn their attention to the autumn internationals which start against Fiji at Twickenham on Saturday, November 10.
