The Rugby Players' Association has said that Mike Tindall will appeal the RFU's punishment for misdemeanors he is alleged to have committed at the Rugby World Cup.
The 33-year-old has been fined £25,000 and removed from England's Elite Squad after he was caught on CCTV on a late-night drinking session in Queenstown with his teammates. Tindall was also filmed with a mystery woman outside of a bar just weeks after his wedding to Zara Phillips.
The centre then misled England officials over his movements that night after he had told them that he did not visit another bar.
"The Rugby Players' Association has today noted the extraordinary fine handed down to Mike Tindall following the disciplinary process after the Rugby World Cup," read a statement.
"Mike will be appealing this unprecedented fine as per the terms of the EPS agreement. There will be no further comment from Mike Tindall or the RPA at this time."
It is unclear whether Tindall will be selected for the national side again following his removal from the team.
