Nathan White warns against complacency

Nathan White claims that Ireland will pay for a complacent approach in their World Cup opener against Canada.

Nathan White has claimed that Ireland will be punished for a complacent approach in their World Cup opener against Canada.

Joe Schmidt's side begin their campaign in Cardiff on Saturday and are fully expected to start the tournament with a comfortable win.

However, White believes that Ireland must produce their best to meet expectations.

"They've got nothing to lose have they? We have to bring a very good game to the park," the Connacht prop told reporters.

"The Ireland team over the last two years have developed habits that are all about the process, and things will take care of themselves off the back of that.

"We've got to go out there, do our jobs and do them well."

Ireland will also meet France, Italy and Romania in Pool D.
