Alun-Wyn Jones: Wales must "get back on the horse"

Alun-Wyn Jones challenges his Wales teammates to "get back on the horse" by beating France in Friday's Six Nations clash in Cardiff.

Alun-Wyn Jones has challenged his Wales teammates to "get back on the horse" by beating France in Friday's Six Nations clash in Cardiff.

Anything but victory would significantly dent Warren Gatland's men's hopes of retaining their title following the 26-3 defeat to Ireland last time out.

"We had a week off to rest, recuperate and get back on the horse, and that's what we intend to do," Jones told reporters. "We were very disappointed with the performance [against Ireland] because, essentially, we didn't get going.

"Like Gats said, it was one of the worst [performances] he's had during his tenure as coach.

"We have to move forward now and crack on with the game at hand. It's a massive opportunity for whoever is selected to put it right."

Friday's encounter is scheduled to kick off at 8pm.
