World number one Victoria reveals that she was pleased to overcome the challenge of Dinah Pfizenmaier at the French Open.

Victoria Azarenka has admitted that she was pleased with the performance that she produced against Dinah Pfizenmaier at the French Open this afternoon.

Despite admitting that she knew little of her German opponent, Azarenka believes that she adapted well to move into round three of the competition at Roland Garros.

"I didn't really know my opponent today, and it took me the first few games to kind of understand what she does and what kind of game she plays to adjust a little bit," Azarenka told reporters.

"After a few games I started to find my better rhythm. Definitely played much better today."

Azarenka's previous best performance at the French Open saw her reach the last eight in 2009 and 2011.
