Novak Djokovic was pleased that bad light didn't affect his win over Nicolas Devilder at the French Open on Friday.

Despite a comfortable 6-1 6-2 6-2 triumph for the world number one in the third round, fading light had threatened to carry the final stages over to Saturday.

"The last 15 minutes was very hard, but it was very important for me to finish the match today," he told reporters. "I wouldn't like to come back tomorrow and play a few games."

Italy's Andreas Seppi now waits for Djokovic in the next round.
