David Ferrer hammers Tommy Robredo in straight sets to book his place in the French Open semi-finals.

David Ferrer has eased into the French Open semi-finals thanks to a comfortable straight-sets victory over fellow Spaniard Tommy Robredo.

The world number five was ruthless on Court Suzanne Lenglen as he established a 6-2 6-1 lead with just over an hour played.

He then broke his opponent three times in the third set to close out the contest 6-1.

Ferrer will meet either Roger Federer or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for a place in the final.
