Marko Djokovic has missed out on the second round of the Dubai Championships after suffering a 3-6 2-6 defeat to Andrey Golubev.
Djokovic, who is the younger brother to world number one Novak, started off brightly in Dubai but struggled to keep the momentum.
The Serbian's Russian opponent managed to take control of the match and break the 20-year-old's serve to grab the lead and snatch the first set.
Golubev continued on the front foot and while Djokovic tried to show signs of intent, the 24-year-old Russian pro was too much for Djokovic and claimed the second and final set to progress into round two.
Djokovic's older brother Novak takes on Cedrik-Marcel Stebe later on today.
