Adrian Mannarino wins both tie-breaks to put Stanislas Wawrinka out in Miami

Adrian Mannarino beats Stanislas Wawrinka 7-6 7-6 to book his place in the last 16 of the Miami Masters.

Adrian Mannarino has progressed to the last 16 at the Miami Masters thanks to a 7-6 7-6 win over Stanislas Wawrinka.

The Frenchman broke Wawrinka's serve in the opening game but failed to extend the lead with two break-point chances in game five.

Wawrinka broke back in game 10 as the opening set went to a tie-break, which Mannarino took 7-4 to win the first set.

Both players broke serve twice in the second set, with Mannarino's fifth-game victory going to six deuces.

A tie-break beckoned once again and Mannarino raced into a 6-2 lead. Wawrinka rallied to win three points in a row, but Mannarino recovered to take the match point at the fourth attempt.

Mannarino will play Dominic Thiem in the last 16.
